Hi! I'm Lindsay, the owner of Homemade Happiness by Lindsay, a locally-owned business serving the Pittsburgh, PA area that provides full wedding day coordination, same-day decorating services, and floral backdrop rentals for weddings and special events. 

My journey into the wedding and event planning industry was not a straight path. After earning my Master’s Degree in Business, I began a career in corporate banking. While I was grateful for the experience, I quickly became tired of working for someone else’s dream instead of my own. 

As a hobby, I began making and selling silk floral arrangements at local craft shows. What began as a small collection of handcrafted floral pieces soon blossomed into something more. I realized I wanted to provide larger, show-stopping pieces that could transform entire spaces. That dream became a reality with the launch of my silk flower wall and arch rentals, offering clients stunning, high-impact decor for their most memorable moments.

With that dream in mind, I officially launched my business in July 2024. The name “Homemade Happiness” stems from many years ago, when my mom would make and sell crafts at local craft and vendor shows under that name. To this day, the name is still fitting since I originally started this business in the spare bedroom of my home. After work, I would sit on the floor cutting flower stems, wiring bouquets together, and painting vases with the hopes of making a sale at my next show. 

What began as a few simple flower arrangements has quickly grown into a comprehensive wedding and event service offering business allowing clients to enjoy both seamless wedding-day and/or event management and exceptional décor offerings. 

With every wedding or special occasion we have the privilege of being a part of, Homemade Happiness by Lindsay offers personalized attention, reliable communication, and a hands-on approach. Every booking is handled with genuine care and every wedding or special event is treated as if it were our own.
